The mice escaped. Now what do we do? Maybe a day at the flea market at the Mauer Park helps. There we catch Sorry Gilberto playing a few songs. Also we receive an invitation to dance. Later we stop by at the Kulturbrauerei where all the little children that terrorize Prenzlauer Berg (aka Pregnancy Hill) are too much for us to take.

Nice Prenzl’berg feeling!
…the unique thing about Berlin is that simplicity can work without becoming glamourous minimalism or gloomy waste land.
A place like Kulturbrauerei in London would be hype and expensive. A place like Mauerpark in Rome would be dirty and abandoned. In Berlin things can be pretty basic and functional, and with a certain charme, without becoming off-limits on the downside or on the upside.
This down-to-earth feeling is what I love in Berlin….never pompous, sometimes exciting, always user-friendly.
