Mayhem ensues when we visit the traditional food fight or Wasserschlacht at the Oberbaumbrücke which connects the two Berlin precincts Friedrichshain and Kreuzberg. They both fight each other each year. Daniel really gave his best to bring a pacifist message to them but his message was unheard. Instead he got a taste of the rotten fruit they were throwing. What a day!

nice reportage! we have something similar on the border between Triest and Slovenia…but it’s with red apples.
A confrontation between Dolina and Boljiunec, between boyz and gals…anybody anthropologist?
After the fight the whole neighbourhood smells of apples…nice madeleine souvenir….

thanks. well, the smell on the oberbaumbrücke was not so pleasant, more like vomit mixed with compost;-)
